Now, in an effort to continue to provide added value to our customers, Rand McNally is offering an end-to-end advanced speed management solution with the TND™ 760 and TPC 7600 fleet management devices.
The solution, offered as part of the Enterprise service plan, is designed to help fleets reduce accident and insurance rates, control fuel costs and improve CSA compliance with real-time speeding alerts – all while leveraging your initial investment. It also compliments our partner offering from SpeedGauge, which offers in-depth reporting and analytics. Here’s how it works:
Drivers are alerted of upcoming posted speed limit changes via the in-cab device with a green icon if a driver is below the speed limit, and a red icon if a driver is above the speed limit.
Drivers are also notified on the device via audible and on-screen alerts if they exceed one or several of four types of speed limit events including: (1) posted speed limit, (2) general, fleet-configured speed limit, (3) fuel efficiency speed limit and (4) cruise control speed limit.
If a driver continues to exceed the speed limit threshold for the fleet-configured amount of time, the speeding event is logged in reports within the Connect web portal, and fleet managers receive an email alert for the speeding event.
Track everything right from your Connect web portal account, and gain greater control of your fleet. Learn more. Call 1-800-789-6277.
On Wreaths Across America Day (December 14), Rand McNally will be supporting Randall Reilly and other trucking industry friends in sponsoring Section 7 at Arlington National Cemetery. Representatives from Rand McNally will be visiting the cemetery to help lay wreaths and honor our nation’s veterans.
Wreaths Across America is a non-profit organization designed with one, three-pronged mission in mind, and that is to Remember, Honor and Teach. The organization serves to help others remember, honor and learn about the service and sacrifices made by U.S. veterans, as well as active military and their families.
Join us in supporting a beautiful cause this holiday season. Donate a wreath, and display one on your rig with the purchase of a “Patriot Pair.”

Colonial Chemical recently implemented Rand McNally’s TND™ 760 mobile fleet management solution fleet-wide, seeing their initial investment pay for itself in the first 30 days.
Managers at the leading, independent chemical distributor operating out of Georgia and North Carolina had been searching for a solution that offered electronic logging and the ability to compile mileage for IFTA reporting. Additional requirements included the ability to track drivers and loads to enable quick re-deployment of trucks, an easy-to-use interface for drivers and fleet managers, and integration to key TMS programs.
“Rand McNally offered the package that we needed, with additional features such as GPS and navigation technology,” said Ray Corbett, Operations Manager at Colonial Chemical. “The implementation has exceeded our expectations, and the investment has paid for itself in the first 30 days.”
