| 16. What's the best way to clean my TND? |

To clean the touch screen please use a soft, clean, lint-free cloth. When cleaning, apply the liquid to the cloth, and gently wipe the touch screen.
| 17. Why does the total mileage shown in my log appear incorrect? |

If you were driving without a GPS signal or with your TND off some mileage may not have been recorded. Some trucks may allow limited visibility to the sky and make GPS reception irregular. You can order an external GPS antenna from our web shop to alleviate this problem.
| 18. Why when trying to calculate a route, am I receiving the following error, 'No truck-legal route could be found for this truck configuration. You will need to change the weight, height, hazmat, etc., in Truck Info to find a valid route.' |

Verify the Truck Info is correct on your device. There could be a HazMat restriction that needs to be adjusted to match your load or the size of your trailer may need to be changed. If these are correct and you still cannot calculate a route then feel free to use the Tell Rand McNally feature in Truck Tools to let us know!
| 19. How can I view all turn by turn instructions on my TND device? |

On the map screen there is a button on the right hand side of the screen. When it is pressed the turn by turn instructions will slide out onto the screen. Use the arrows on the bottom to scroll up and scroll down through the route steps. When you are done reviewing the turn by turn list, you simply press the button a second time to hide the instructions.
| 20. How do I view Road Construction? |

You will see Road Construction on your route in the Turn by Turn list described above. You need to have an active route to see where the road construction is.

2) Restart your computer
3) Try a different USB port
4) Try plugging the device into a different computer (if you have one)
| 30. No GPS signal |

Make sure that your product has a clear view of the sky. Trees, buildings and the roof of your truck can interfere with the TND's ability to get a signal. Also, it sometimes takes several minutes to acquire a signal for the first time.

| 31. How do I get my device repaired? |

Contact Customer support for repair information. You can call 877-IGO4TND (877-446-4863) or email us at TNDSupport@randmcnally.com.
| 32. Can my TND show me the speed limit for the road I am on? |

The speed limit will show up in the bottom right hand side of the map screen. Please note that speed limits change all the time, so make sure that you obey the local posted speed limits.
| 33. Why is the speed limit sometimes in an orange box, sometimes in a white box, and sometimes in s a red box? |

The TND displays the best available speed limit information. Not all roads have truck speeds, but where they are available, they will be shown in orange. If not available, the car speed limit will be shown in white.
| 34. How do I change the speed at which I am warned? I set it to 65MPH but it's not working. |

In Preferences, the Speed Limit Alert is set for the amount you want to exceed the speed before you see a warning. So if you set it to 5, it will warn you if you go 65 in a 60, or 45 in a 40, etc.
| 35. Why do I sometimes find map errors in Rand McNally products? |

Communities alter the legal truck routes from time to time. Due to the complex nature of gathering all of this data together, there is a lag from when a change occurs to when it appears in a device. If you see a posted truck restriction that is not in your TND, we encourage you to use the "Tell Rand" button on the Truck Tools screen. We will incorporate your changes into future map releases.
| 36. How can I register my device? |

Send in the Warranty card enclosed with your device.
