What is included in this service?

• A complete and accurate inventory of all current maps and globes. Materials in each classroom will be authoritatively evaluated for content accuracy and condition.
• Room-by-room, grade-by-grade recommendations of materials based on state educational mandates and, if possible, the preference of the classroom teacher.
• A prioritized plan according to your budget, organized by materials that are the most critical to the education mission of your school or district.

Why do a Map & Globe Survey?

• The world is constantly changing. With recent world changes, many materials being used in classrooms are no longer accurate.
• The inventory provides you with professional recommendations that are based on the most current materials available as well as correlations to textbooks and cross-curricular subjects.
• This service is FREE and there is no further purchase obligation.

How long will the inventory take?

• Approximately 1 to 2 minutes per classroom for the average building.
• Approximately one week to process the information and prepare recommendations.
• After the inventory is prepared, your Rand McNally representative will request a meeting with the principal, department chair, or other appropriate staff members to explain the inventory and answer questions about the recommendations.

When can an inventory be done?

• At your convenience. Appointments can be scheduled for any time that works for you: before school, during the school day, over lunch periods, or after school.
