This World Center of Racing opened in 1959 with the first Daytona 500, often called "the Great American Race." Daytona also hosts the Rolex 24 of Daytona, the world's most important race for sports cars, and the Daytona 200 by Honda for motorcycles. Daytona USA, the Speedway's "Ultimate Motorsports Attraction," offers an exciting assortment of high-tech, interactive activities, simulators, films, electronic games, food, shopping, and a 30-minute Speedway Tour tram excursion.
