Much of this site's 2,500 acres cover an elevated bluff area with spectacular views of the Mississippi River. There are 13 miles of hiking trails and a concession building open from May 1 to September 15. Other activities include cross-country skiing and deer and turkey hunting. Both Class A and Class B campsites are available. They are first-come, first-served. Two modernized group sites are open from June to October, while the primitive site is open May to October.
Pets: Leashed pets are permitted in park and campgrounds.
