Lincoln's New Salem is a reconstruction of the village in which Abe Lincoln spent six years of his life. The site features a new interpretive center as well as 23 timber houses, shops, and stores that have been reconstructed and furnished as they were in the 1830s. The site also features a campground and outdoor drama. All campsites are first-come, first-served. Located two miles south of Petersburg on Route 97.
Pets: Leashed pets are permitted on campgrounds.
