Treetop ecology is alive, well, and waiting to be explored at this nature center. Pull on a helmet, strap on a harness, and then take a walk on a series of platforms and rope bridges suspended 40 feet in the air among the tops of a grove of hickory and oak trees. The series of ropes, ladders and platforms replicate those used by scientists studying the diversity of life in the tree canopies around the world. Situated on 40 acres of woodlands (with picnic sites), this environmental museum exhibits animals ranging from polar bears to river otters and eagles. It also features a planetarium and telescopic observatory.
