The state's largest natural body of water has a state park and two private campgrounds along its 300 miles of zig-zagging shoreline. It provides both excellent fishing and watersports. Lake Alice National Wildlife Refuge offers a trail where walkers may see great blue herons, sora rails and an occasional moose. Sully's Hill National Game Preserve is one of only four national refuges for bison and elk. The refuge has a four-mile big-game auto tour as well as hiking trails and ski trails.
