Valley of Fire State Park is named for its fantastic red sandstone formations shaped by eons of wind and rain. Native American petroglyphs adorn some of the rocks. Visitors can camp in two developed campgrounds with 53 campsites, hike, picnic, and take scenic drives. The visitor center offers geologic exhibits, a movie, and print materials about the history and geography of the area. Handicapped-accessible facilities are available. The vehicle fee is $5.00, with camping being an additional $7.00.Pets: Leashed pets are permitted with restrictions.
