Built in 1861, Fort Churchill was part of the western frontier; it was established to protect white settlers from the local Paiutes. The ruins of fourteen adobe buildings are the main attraction here. Interpretive signs lead visitors along a self-guided tour, and a small museum describes the history of the fort. There are 20 campsites available (none have hookups). Pets:0 Leashed pets are permitted with restrictions. Reservations and fees:0 Reservations are not accepted. Fees are charged for camping, picnicking, and group use.
