At Joe Wheeler State Park, swim, fish, boat, hike, golf, or play tennis. W.C. Handy, composer of "St. Louis Blues," was born here in a cabin, now restored. Also of interest are the Indian Mound and Museum, Pope's Tavern Museum (1830), and the spectacular view from 300-foot Renaissance Tower restaurant at Pickwick Lake.
