The heart of this 19th-century Ozark railroad village is Old Hardy Town, still beating as it did in the 1940s. You'll find Main Street a tiny preserve of quality antique shops, gift nooks, specialty stores, cafes, and craft shops. Fitting right in with the town's old-time appeal, the Vintage Motorcar Museum offers about 50 antique autos and auto memorabilia plus a reconstruction of Hardy's classic Magnolia filling station of the 1920s. Hardy overlooks the cool, clear waters of the Spring River, which provides excellent trout fishing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and campgrounds.
