Harrison's location along the popular north-south route between Little Rock and Branson, and its access to the east-west route to popular Eureka Springs, has earned for it the nickname, "The Hub of the Ozarks." Arkansas Route 7 continues south of town through stunningly beautiful Ozark scenery. Caverns in the area include Mystic, with its two caves, and Hurricane River, with its 45-foot waterfall and ancient calcite formations. Nearby, the Buffalo National River is popular for floating through woodland scenery, past 440-foot bluffs and springtime wild flowers.
