A visit to Pasadena leaves a lasting impression of flowers, balmy temperatures, and a lush beauty framed by the San Gabriel Mountains that attracted wealthy Easterners in the late 19th century. These early Pasadenans left a legacy of first-class museums and lovely homes for all to enjoy. The Pacific Asia Museum, the Huntington Library Art Collections and Botanical Gardens, the Norton Simon Museum, and a lovingly restored Old Town are among the city's treasures.
Pasadena is also the home of the annual Tournament of Roses Parade and its namesake, college football's Rose Bowl. The prestigious California Institute of Technology with its Jet Propulsion Laboratory is also located here. Other interesting stops include the Pasadena Museum of History, Gamble House, and Kidspace Museum, which features interactive exhibits for children aged 2-10.
