A variety of cafes, coffeehouses, lounges, and restaurants stretch out along the Miracle Mile running from downtown to the University of the Pacific. The neighborhhod's oldest venue, the Stockton Empire Theatre is up and running again with independent films and performances from local and regional bands. Indy and alternative bands make the scene on Sundays at the exotic Amaraen Cafe and Hookah Bar. Valley Brewing Company offers their own handcrafted microbrews and occasionally has live music.
