Downtown Denver has a number of one-way streets, but driving within the city is not difficult--just try to avoid rush hours (6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.). Parking is another matter. On-street parking is often scarce and parking lots are expensive. Fortunately, public transportation in Denver's business district boasts frequent stops and long hours of operation. Mountain road conditions can be treacherous in winter. Snowstorms will bring interstate highways to a grinding halt.
