The state's major industrial center, at the confluence of Fountain Creek and the Arkansas River, Pueblo was once a major trading post. El Pueblo Museum, on the original trading post site, tells the city's history. Take a walking tour of the Union Avenue Historic District, and visit Rosemount Museum, Sangre de Cristo Arts and Conference Center, and the Weisbord Aircraft and International B-24 Museum. Bike, float, or canoe at the Arkansas River Greenway and Nature Center, or relax at a riverside cafe. Visit the Pueblo Zoo in City Park, and enjoy water sports at Pueblo Reservoir.
