Quiet vacation town has four miles of Gulf beach. Water color varies from green to blue-green to dark blue, depending on the weather. Visitors come mainly for swimming, sunbathing, water play, volleyball, and fishing. Major visitor season is January through April; other popular times are late June through early August. Spring temperatures run from the high 70s to low 80s. No lifeguards on duty. Swimmers find shower/changing room facilities and food concessions.
