Naples has eight miles of white-sand beach along the clear blue-green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Beach has 42 access points and a fishing pier; visitors come to swim, sunbathe, picnic, walk, jog, and play. Major season is October through May; December temperatures run low 70s to mid-80s. Beach is used year-round. A public park on the beach has handicapped-accessible restrooms, showers, and a snack bar. Fishing pier has footwashes and shower columns are scattered along beach. Enjoy nature at Conservancy Nature Center, Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, and Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary.
