This area attracts thousands of vacationers, thanks to excellent fishing and beautiful beaches. Boasting 27 miles of fine white sand along clear green Gulf waters, this beach is often called one of the finest in the world. Swimming and sunbathing are popular, as are snorkeling, diving, windsurfing, jet-skiing, and parasailing. Anglers cast their lines from shore, pier, or jetty. St. Andrews State Park is popular for swimming, surf fishing, cycling, boating, and camping. Also visit ZooWorld, Shipwreck Island Water Park, several museums, and Gulf World Marine Park with gardens and dolphin shows. Major seasons are February to mid-April, and Memorial Day to the end of October. Summer temperatures run between 80 and 90.
