Look to the developing Riverfront at the foot of Hamilton Street for
nightlife in Peoria. The Waterhouse has regular Friday entertainment with
the lively dueling pianos show, Howlin' on Water. The Contemporary Art
Center wraps up the work week with jazz and blues bands playing for the
regular Friday Live at Five series. Right next door, the Rhythm Kitchen
Music Cafe offers live bands performing at 7 and 10 PM on Fridays and
Saturdays.
Jazz is alive and well, thank you very much, throughout Peoria and
environs. For starters, try The Copperworks; they have live music Wednesday,
Friday and Saturday. Jim's Bistro in Peoria Heights also brings on the
players Fridays and Saturdays. And Panache offers two shows each Tuesday,
Thursday and Friday.
Bogie's Bar & Grill has live bands four nights a week. The Chateau on the
Lake in North Pekin has regular performers entertaining the diners with
pleasant pop sounds on Friday and Saturday nights.
To get your funny bone tickled, try the Jukebox Comedy Club for stand-up
comedians Thursday through Saturday nights.
Jim's Steakhouse, a Peoria landmark now found in the Janssen Building,
still offers an elegant atmosphere and live music from the piano bar five
nights a week. Peoria Hofbrau offers fine dining with a German flavor, as
well as hundreds of beers in an intimate setting.
