This scenic New England harbor town, founded in 1635, offers antique houses, a lovely waterfront, and numerous parks and recreation areas. The Old Ship Church, a wooden Elizabethan Gothic building in use since 1681, lays claim to the title of the country's oldest church structure in continuous use as a place of worship.
