Like many older eastern cities, Baltimore wasn't designed with cars in mind, and using one in this compact city may present more hassles than it's worth. Virtually everything worth seeing is clustered, and local public transit is good. Should you opt to use a car, major car rental agencies are represented at the airport and elsewhere in the city.
