This historic port city on the Chesapeake Bay harbors a lively music scene offering revelers a wide variety of entertainment options. The Fells Point neighborhood is home to numerous clubs and late-night restaurants. If it's blues you're after, look no further than the Full Moon Saloon. The dark, roadhouse decor blends perfectly with the down-and-dirty blues played here every night of the week. Jazz aficionados won't want to miss Bertha's, where you can choose your beer from their huge selection of brews and sate your appetite with world-famous mussels. Down by the docks, you'll find the Cat's Eye Pub. This traditional Irish pub serves up great live Celtic music as well as blues and rock acts seven nights a week.
Near the Inner Harbor, the Power Plant entertainment district is packed with restaurants and clubs where touring and local rock bands perform on a regular basis. If you're looking for an elegant downtown venue with a view, head to the Belvedere Hotel. There you'll find the 13th Floor, a bar where you can listen and dance to jazz, disco, blues, and contemporary sounds from live bands four nights a week. Northwest of the city's center, the Sportsmen's Lounge still proffers that great Baltimore jazz tradition: the Monday night jam session.
For up-and-coming and national touring acts, head to the 8 x 10, a rock club carved out of a couple of old row houses. This intimate venue has been a fixture on the Baltimore scene since 1983.
