Marlin bite frequently in the waters off Ocean City. The beach is splendid; ten miles of white sandy beach are backed by dunes. The three-mile boardwalk offers food, entertainment, and an amusement park, making this ocean resort a popular family vacation spot. Visitors indulge in swimming, sunbathing, or walking. Play volleyball at Dorchester Street volleyball park, which features ten courts plus tournaments almost every weekend in the summer. Also in summer, bicycling and in-line skating are allowed on the boardwalk between 5 and 10 AM. Nearby are Frontier Town, re-creating the Old West with holdups, gunfights, and dance-hall entertainment; Jolly Rogers Park; and the Life Saving Station Museum. More than four million visitors come here between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Summer weather runs up to the 90s, but the humidity usually remains low. Accommodations are available in town.
