Churchill's, a bar and grill, features live music on occasion. The
college crowd can usually be found at Flint Local 432, a haven for live punk
rock on Friday and Saturday night. Hip-hop, trance, and techno keeps the
dancers on the floor at Club Triangle, a venue with a wide-ranging
clientele. The two blocks of urban cityscape called Buckham Alley
offer rock-oriented clubs and an alternative theatre. Rodney's Loft stays
open late for hardcore rocking to local bands. The Torch Bar and Grill has
no live music, but maintains a Chicago-style atmosphere and the largest
selection of beers in the city. When the Back Alley Players turn up
for improv sessions at the Buckham Alley Theatre hilarity often follows. The
Holly Hotel is a gourmet restaurant in nearby Holly that hosts a basement
comedy club on Friday and Saturday nights. Some big names got their earliest
gigs in Holly.
