The Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area lies at the junction of Interstates 35 and 94, but the region is served by a number of major by-passes and arteries that cross and circle the cities. A good map is essential for negotiating the streets of both cities. Generally, they are laid out in basic grid patterns, but these grids shift direction, usually relative to the banks of the Mississippi River. If your business lies within the downtown areas of either city, public transit may be a better transportation choice.
