Car

While Santa Fe has a good bus system and taxi service, if you are staying outside the downtown area you'll probably want to have a car. Most of the major car rental agencies can be found at the Albuquerque International Airport. Avis and Hertz car rentals are available at the Santa Fe Municipal Airport. During the summer months, parking can be very difficult downtown. Most of the in-town tourist attractions are close to the hotels, and there are 15 city-owned parking lots. If you are staying downtown, you won't need to drive to do most of your in-town sightseeing.
Public Transport

Bus:Santa Fe Trails is the public bus system with nine routes in the city. Call for schedules and fare information. (505-438-1464)

Taxi: Capital City Cab Company is the local cab company. (505-438-0000)
Airport

Albuquerque International Sunport Airport (ABQ) is about an hour from Santa Fe. All the major airlines fly into this gateway to New Mexico. Santa Fe Municipal Airport (SAF), just over ten miles from downtown, serves mainly charters and private facilities.

Albuquerque International Sunport Airport

Shuttle services operating between Albuquerque and hotels in downtown Santa Fe include Santa Fe Shuttle (888-833-2300) and Sandia Shuttle Express (888-775-5696).
