While Santa Fe has a good bus system and taxi service, if you are staying outside the downtown area you'll probably want to have a car. Most of the major car rental agencies can be found at the Albuquerque International Airport. Avis and Hertz car rentals are available at the Santa Fe Municipal Airport. During the summer months, parking can be very difficult downtown. Most of the in-town tourist attractions are close to the hotels, and there are 15 city-owned parking lots. If you are staying downtown, you won't need to drive to do most of your in-town sightseeing.
