Head downtown to Armory Square for clubs, pubs and restaurants. The historic buildings in this revitalized center city neighborhood have been put to "re-purposed" uses. For live music, you'll find jazz combos playing Wednesdays at the Suds Factory, and urban-fusion and alternative bands on Thursdays at the OHM Lounge. A few blocks north at Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, you'll still find the blues being sung and played live Monday thru Saturday nights.
For lounge sounds and Broadway melodies, pianist-singers perform for diners at the 1060 Restaurant in the Genesee Grand Hotel every night but Sunday. Comedians take the stage at the Laugh-In Lounge every Thursday at Ambrosia in the Armory Square district.
