Harrisburg's lively nightlife scene centers around restaurant row downtown within the shadow of the capitol building. Hot clubs like Stallions provide deejay-driven dance beats every night of the week, while live music -- rock, reggae, and blues -- mixes it up with the deejays on three levels at both Dragon Fly and the Eclipse/Hardware Bar complex Wednesday through Sunday.
Other restaurant venues such as Scott's Grille features live blues, jazz, rock, and acoustic acts on Wednesday and Saturday nights. If you find yourself in town on Monday night, check out the live blues offered at Kokomo's. They also have live jazz on Tuedays, and rock bands on some Saturdays. Live jazz is a good bet on Friday nights: drop by for swinging sounds at either the Pep Grill or the St. Moritz Supper Club.
The Bar at the Hilton Hotel also offers light jazz along with some name acts, while easy-listening flute and cello and Irish folk music can be heard at the restaurants at the Sheraton Hotel.
Away from downtown, Gullifty's Downstairs in Camp Hill is a sports bar and grill that turns up the volume on Thursday through Saturday nights with live rock bands.
