Bus: Buses are operated by Sun Metro and cost $1 per ride. Transfers are $0.10. Buses operate from 5:54 AM until 8:59 PM. (915-533-3333) Taxi: Taxis may not be hailed on the street but are plentiful in the downtown area. Cab stands are located at large downtown hotels. Rides cost $1.43 to start and $1.75 per mile. El Paso International Airport (ELP) is located five miles northeast of downtown El Paso. Courtesy buses are provided by many hotels. Transportation from the airport to downtown El Paso: Bus: Sun Metro bus #33 leaves the Main Terminal every hour from 5:20 AM to 9:30 PM. The trip downtown takes about 45 minutes and costs $1. (915-533-3333) Taxi:Cab stands are located near the baggage claim area. Expect to pay $14 to $16 for the 20-minute trip to downtown.
