Once a stop on the Chisholm Trail, Fort Worth combines a "cowtown" image with a rich repertoire of arts and culture; the performing arts flourish here. The Stockyards Historical District, home to a still-thriving livestock industry, offers a glimpse of the "real Texas." Billy Bob's Texas ("the world's largest honky-tonk"), live rodeos, shops and restaurants set the tone. The Texas Motor Speedway brings NASCAR racing excitement. The Fort Worth Herd is a daily cattle drive of Texas longhorns in stockyards. Sundance Square offers 20 blocks of entertainment. The Old West comes to life through the paintings and sculptures of Frederic Remington and Charles Russell at the Amon Carter Museum. Nearby are the Kimbell Art Museum, the Modern Art Museum, Fort Worth Museum of Science and History and Planetarium with Omni Theater, the Will Rogers Memorial Center, the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, the Sid Richardson Collection of Western Art in Sundance Square, and the fine zoo, which is 2 miles from the museum area..
