Waco is home to Baylor University, the oldest continuously operating institution of higher learning in the state. On campus, the Mayborn Museum Complex includes 16 hands-on Discovery Rooms, both indoor and outdoor natural history exhibits, and the 13-acre Governor Daniel Historic Village. Also at Baylor, the Armstrong Browning Library preserves the world's largest collection of letters, manuscripts, and memorabilia relating to Elizabeth Barrett and Robert Browning. Waco has several lovely restored homes, including Earle-Napier-Kinnard House, McCulloch House, East Terrace, Fort House, and Earle-Harrison House. Museums include the Dr. Pepper Museum, Sports Hall of Fame, and Texas Ranger Hall of Fame & Museum, depicting the exploits of the famed lawmen since 1837. Visit Cameron Park Zoo, check out the Historic Suspension Bridge, or head to Lake Waco for waterskiing, swimming, pier fishing, boat ramps, rentals, and camping.
