One of the most beautiful state capitals, Olympia sits on an arm of Puget Sound, with views of Mount Rainier and the Olympic Mountains. The impressive legislative building on the 35-acre Capitol Campus is a must. Stroll among Japanese cherry trees and flower gardens with a reproduction of Copenhagen's famous Tivoli fountain, or visit the state conservatory. Exhibits of Washington history, forestry and art are in the State Capital Museum.
Visit Percival Landing boardwalk at Budd Inlet and the farmers' market, and tour Olympia Brewery. Run, bike, sail and swim at Capitol Lake Park. Other attractions include the Nisqually Wildlife Regufe, the Hands On Children's Museum, Tumwater Falls Park, and Wolf Haven International.
