This popular year-round resort town sits at the eastern end of the spring-fed lake of the same name where millionaires' summer estates and simple cottages share a common shoreline. Sailing, golf, fishing, skiing, skating, and iceboating are all popular activities. You can also take sightseeing excursions of the lake aboard a fleet of restored historic yachts. Bigfoot Beach State Park offers camping, hiking, and swimming.
You can also visit the Geneva Lake Area Museum of History or see the world's largest refracting telescope at the Yerkes Observatory in Williams Bay.
