The first theme park of its kind, Disneyland has 60 attractions in eight themed lands. Toontown, the newest, is a delightful village filled with the homes of Mickey, Minnie, and other beloved Disney characters. The Matterhorn Bobsleds, the world's first steel-framed roller coaster, remains a favorite as does Splash Mountain, an elaborate water ride that tells the story of Br'er Rabbit and friends. Don't forget to see Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean. Many restaurants, snack bars, gift shops, and souvenir shops are situated throughout the park.
