This historic building was constructed in the 1870s, an interesting example of the architecture of that era. Displayed within are a collection of early California art, Asian art, and international ceramics. The museum hosts 15-18 changing exhibitions each year. Second Saturday for Families is the second Saturday of the month. On the third Thursday of each month, the museum holds a jazz series with performances by local and nationally known jazz bands.
