How to Update OverDryve Devices:

All OverDryve updates are free and easy to download over Wi-Fi. 

Before you begin, please be sure to follow these tips for a successful update:

1. Make sure your tablet is plugged into a charger to avoid interruptions in the download and installation process. 
2. Connect your device to a reliable Wi-Fi connection. 
3. Do not launch the GPS application once the download/installation process has started. 

First, determine your device's model number.

Because updates differ based on model number, you must first determine which model number you have. 

Settings → About Tablet → Check Model Number

This software update is for the following model numbers: 

• OD8Pro
• OD7Pro
• OD7RV
• OD7C

If your model number does not match this number, do not proceed with this update. 

Instructions to Update

1.  Connect to a reliable Wi-Fi connection. 

2. On the home screen, a red dot should appear on the settings cog indicating there are updates available. 

3. A pop-up will appear that reads "Attention! Important Updates Available!" Tap "Go to System Updates." If this pop-up does not appear, continue to Step 4. 

4. Tap on the settings cog on the home screen then go to System Updater → Check for updates.

5. A list of updates should appear. Tap "Install All Updates."

• If a RM Services Update is available, stay on the updating screen until update is complete. If a pop-up should appear that reads "Attention! Important Updates Available!" tap "Not Now." 

• If an Operating System Update is available, tap "Install All Updates" then tap "Reboot and Install." 

• If Application and Map Data Updates are available, tap "Install All Updates." Note: The System Updater application may close during the update. This is normal. The application can be re-opened from the home screen. 

6. Repeat Steps 4 and 5 until a message appears that reads "Your system is up to date." 

Troubleshooting Steps:

If an "Updates Available!" pop-up appears but there are no updates listed, follow these steps: 

• Tap the back button.
• Tap on the settings cog on the home screen. 
• Tap System Updater → Check for updates.
• Continue from Step 4.
