When you first turn on your tablet, you will be prompted to register your device with Rand McNally. Your registration ensures you have access to the latest information and updates. You will also be prompted to connect to Wi-Fi. Your device requires a Wi-Fi connection to access all Internet functions, such as app downloads. Wi-Fi is not required to use the Truck GPS app.

If you do not register in the initial setup, you will be prompted to do so before downloading the first update. When you connect to Wi-Fi, an update notification will appear in the upper left corner. Tap on it to register and proceed with the update.
